F1H2O

Kiev, Ukraine - 30th July - Mat Palfreyman, Liverpool's young F4S driver made it look so easy today in heat 2 of the Formula 4S championship as he swept to a convincing win, lapping the two tail-enders, Tobias Munthe-Kaas and Valts Silis.

The two Arab boats, Abu Dhabi and Qatar were greatly missed after the collision yesterday which left both boats with severe damage.

Mad Croc's Filip Roms at last found his 2010 form to chase the leader and he too was pursued by championship leader Bimba Sjoholm of Team Sweden. At times Sjoholm got within striking distance of Roms but could never close the gap.

Yesterday's runner-up Xiong Ziwei of Team China found today's pace to hot and crossed the line in 4th place.

All teams now have several weeks to get their steeds repaired and re-tuned before rounds 9 and 10 of the series.

Palfreyman said after the race "I feel great and hopefully I can keep my momentum going until the end of the year as the championship is within my grasp".

Meanwhile Sjoholm was left to rue what might have been "I'm very disappointed, the engine was slow to fire up at the start and as I get close to Filip he just kept pulling away so I think I had the wrong prop. Nevertheless there is still time to get things together".
