ABU DHABI'S AHMED AL HAMELI DOMINATES
F1H2O

Kiev, Ukraine - 30th July - After claiming pole position yesterday, Abu Dhabi's Ahmed Al Hameli led from the grid and was never headed throughout the 37 laps GP of Ukraine.

Championship leader Jay Price of Team Qatar kept up a relentless pace trying to catch the leader but it was not to be, while third place Sami Selio was also a knot slower than the winner with Francesco Cantando in his new boat filling 4th place.

The only incident was a first lap collision between Stan Kourtsenovski and Davide Padovan when it appeared the Italian hit the Russian's boat resulting in Kourtsenovski's cowling going missing resulting in both drivers retiring.

The only other retirement on lap 26 was Team Nautica's Marit Stromoy who was involved in a close tussle with Jonas Andersson, Thani Al Qamzi and Alex Carrella until her engine expired.

Carrella crossed the line in 5th place ahead of Andersson, Al Qamzi, Pierre Lundin and Philippe Chiappe.

Poland's Bart Marszalek produced his best result of the season with a 10th place finish.

It was sweet success for Abu Dhabi team captain Scott Gillman who had been coaching the winner and his advice was well heeded as Al Hameli's reliability problems appeared resolved.
