KIEV, Ukraine - July 20th - Throughout 2011 and the first two GP's of 2012, Britain's Team Atlantic pilot Matt Palfreyman has looked invincable but today in heat 1 of the GP of Ukraine, Matt's colours were lowered by Team Sweden's Jasper Forsse in an exciting tussle.
Palfreyman led the early part of the race but when the yellow flag was raised following a spin-out by wayward Team Nautica's Tobias Munthe-Kaas, Forss piled on the pressure and after passing Palfreyman went on to win by a sizeable margin.
At one point in the latter stages of the 19 lap race, China's only F4S driver Ziwei Xiong made a gallent attempt to catch the British driver. Mad Croc's Kornel VO managed to fold off Abu Dhabi's Rashed Al Qemzi who in turn had passed his Arabic rival, Khalid Al Kuwari in the Qatar boat while Jan-Andre Landsnes finished a distant 7th ahead of Munthe-Kaas.
Certainly the yellow flag caused considerable confusion as the pace boat appeared to join the pack ahead of the backmarkers instead of the leaders.
