Following in his grandfather, father and uncle wake, Ben Jelf started Powerboat Racing at 9 years old.
In an illustrios racing career Ben has already secured 1 World Championship, 4 European titles along 16 British Championship titles. In addition to holding 4 World and 10 British speed records.
Respected Nationally and lnternationally both on and off the water Ben is certainly a credible youngster with a brighi future in the sport.
At the age of just 11 Ben became Britain's most successful junior Powerboat Racer and claimed the Title of Britain's youngest World Powerboat Racing Champion and World Record Holder.
From there Ben's Racing career went from strength to strength and in 2018 Ben laid claim to his 14th & 15th British Championship Titles as well as taking a Bronze in the F4 European Championship. 2018 also saw Ben become the youngest Brit to break the 100mph Speed Record setting the British F2 & Supercat records at 124.27mph & 124.38mph respectively and becoming the 3rd generation of Jelf Racing to achieve a coveted K7 Gold Star.
Ben has regularly competed in both the UK and lnternational competitions. He has also competed in the German series in 2018 and in the French Championship during 2022 and was invited to compete in the 24 Hr Rouen Race during 2019.
In 2018 Ben was asked to compete as part of Team Amaravati as the Teams F4 Driver at the F1H20 Grand
Prix of India.
2022 also saw Ben head back to Offshore racing as Navigator in the F1 Offshore Racing class
alongside Max Walker.
2022 has seen Ben secure his 16th British Championship title in his inaugurai season in
F2. With the new Mercury 200APX Engine.
Ben has spent the year along with his father Colin testing and developing the new engine and boat set up.
