SHARJAH - Wednesday, December 5, 2012 - The final round of the 2012 UIM F1 H2O World Championship race weekend began with a rousing press conference and luncheon this morning with host H.E. Mohamed Ali Al Noman the Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority greeting a packed house of visiting journalists from throughout the world. Joining him was UIM F1 H2O Promoter Nicolo di San Germano President of H2O Racing along with series Logistics Director Lavinia Cavallero.

Also on the dais were the three top runners in the UIM F1 H2O Drivers Championship. New two-time World Champion Alex Carella of the Qatar Team with two drivers in the middle of the battle for the runner-up position with French driver Philippe Chiappe of the CTIC China who has accumulated 57 points and Sami Selio of the Mad Croc Team who has 53 points.   

Selio, a two-time winner of the Grand Prix of Sharjah will join 22 other drivers from 15 various countries for tomorrows "knockout" qualifying battle for pole position for Friday's Grand Prix of Sharjah.
