F1H2O

LINYI, China – Sunday, October 3, 2010 - An estimated crowd of 70,000 witnessed an exciting duel between the two Mad Croc drivers Alex Carella and Sami Selio although the young Italian pole setter Carella never looked troubled by the challenge of his team mate and led from pole to chequered flag.

Under a bright sun and  stiff breeze which produced choppy conditions, the twenty strong fleet set off at a blistering pace with Carella leading the way. Jay Price and Thani Al Qamzi were expected to be chasing a top five place but Price was relegated to the back after changing a powerhead while Al Qamzi was sent to the tail end after missing the parade lap as his crew fixed a leaking hull. The challenge to the leading duo came from Francesco Cantando and fellow Italian Fabio Comparato.

Price forced his way into fifth place ahead of Tim Seebold driving in Abu Dhabi colours. Portugal Duarte Benevente enjoyed his best result of the season finishing seventh and Al Qamzi and Luigi Roberto rounded out the top ten. Two incidents saw yellow flags flying, Tomas Cermak of Team Nautica flipped over on lap 24 and Rainbow's Davide Padovan spun out on the final 32nd  lap resulting in the race finishing under the yellow and chequered flag.
