LIUZHOU, China – Sunday, October 17, 2010 – As drivers gained more experience it was rookie pilot Filip Roms who secured the honours in the second leg of the Liuzhou F4 GP. It was also a first victory for Baby BaBa as the team completed their 15 laps finishing at least 300 metres ahead of 800 Doctor's David Del Pin Team.
Rainbow's Oskar Samuelsson tried desperately to get past the Doctor but appeared to be edged out on the turn marks but in was an exciting tussle. Team Azerbaijan's female pilot Bimba Sjoholm was looking comfortable in 4th place and was even closing on fellow Swede Samuelsson until power trim failure and she had to watch the Abu Dhabi boat of Rasid Al Tayer and Qatar's Saleh Al Shamlin overtake.
It's ironic that only a week ago Al Tayer was behind the wheel of Abu Dhabi's 140 mph Class 1 cat in Stresa, Italy. Although a long way off the pace, Singha Beer's Fjelde Kristoffer, driving a Blaze hull, China's Xiong Ziwei and Matt Palreyman rounded off the finishers along with Sjoholm.
Later it was announced that Del Pin had been given a yellow card for pushing third place Samuelsson to the outside on the turn marks in the latter stages of the race.
