Friday, 2 February: H2O Racing has confirmed an eight race calendar for 2018 running from May through to December, with the UIM F1H2O World Championship embarking on its 35th season.
The season kicks-off in May on the Arade River in Portimao, Portugal, the tenth time the Algarve resort has hosted the season-opener, with the championship then making a welcome return to racing in Great Britain for the first time since 1994 and to London for the first time since 1985, the race taking place in Royal Victoria Dock in June.
The European legs of the season end with a fourth visit to the internationally renowned Spa Resort of Evian, France on the 29 June-1 July and the unpredictable waters of the mighty Lac Leman.
The first of two Grand Prix in the People’s Republic of China takes place at Hulan Estuary Wetland Park, Harbin in August with the championship returning to Liuzhou at the end of September.
The now firmly established and traditional end of season double headers in the United Arab Emirates in December bring the racing year to a close, with the penultimate round in Abu Dhabi followed by the final race in Sharjah.
H2O Racing will announce a race in November in the coming weeks.
