Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Monday, March 29, 2010 - Reigning World F1 Champion Guido Cappellini took to the waters off Rio de Janerio for the opening round of the UIM World Class 1 championship. Aboard the Italian entry Duemme Yacht Foresti & Suardi, Guido alongside fellow Italian Giampaolo Montavoci clinched 3rd place in the hotly contested race.

The two race GP was won by Dubai's reigning world champions 'Fazza 1' with Fazza 3' claiming the silver medal. Cappellini last raced in Class 1 many years ago with legendary Renato Molinari.

Filling 6th place was another F1 pilot, Norwegian Marit Stromoy who will be back behind the wheel of her F1 outfit when the season opens in Portimao in early May.
