ABU DHABI (UAE) - Thursday, 10 December, 2015 - Sweden's Jesper Forss could miss tomorrow's Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi after his second high-impact crash in as many days.
Definitely out is Motorglass F1 Team's Austrian driver Bernd Enzenhofer who was hit by the Team Sweden driver, the impact severely damaging both boats and ruling out a Grand Prix start. "I took my line and made my turn quite narrow. My radio man told me somebody is coming but I had already made my turn, could do nothing and then I was hit. His boat rolled over the top of me and my boat is completely damaged." said a bitterly disappointed Enzenhofer.
The incident took place at almost the identical spot where Forrs lost control of his boat and crashed out yesterday. The 22-year-old was heading into the final tight left hander but failed to make the turn, colliding heavily and collecting the unassuming Enzenhofer along the way, Forss' boat spinning 360 degrees and rolling over.
Forrs was taken to a local hospital for a precautionary check-up with team owner Jonas Andersson confirming that his young driver is OK. Andersson, who posted the fastest time in this morning's official practice session, said that the team could have the spare boat ready in time for the Grand Prix but the decision to race or not was up to Forrs.
