F1 STARS IN ROUEN 24H RACE
F1H2O
ROUEN, France – 3rd of May, 2009 – Just when we thought Philippe Dessertenne of CTIC China fame had retired from driving to take up the role of team manager, he turned up at the Rouen 24 hour marathon and joined Pierre Lundin, Franck Revert and Jerome Ruffin in Team Drakkar. The quartet were overall winners and won the Class 3 division. Marit Stromoy and World F2 Champion Colin Jelf clinched the runner-up place in Class 2. Incidentally Dessertenne has not retired but awaits delivery of a new boat. The weather was very favourable this year as normally the Rouen event attracts strong winds and rain at some time during the race. Team SCW’s boat driven by Britain’s John Masters exploded in the paddock injuring a Dutch driver and mechanic.
