F1 FAMILY LOSES ONE OF ITS YOUNGEST MEMBERS!

Frode Sundsdal's Three Year Old Son Tragically Loses Life!

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates – Friday, 3rd of July, 2009 – Frode Sundsdal, a one-time U.I.M. F1 H2O World Championship driver and now President of the Norwegian Powerboat Association is in mourning today following the tragic death of his three year old son Maximillian.

The current team owner and driver of the F2boat.com Team and recent winner of the F2 Norwegian championship along with mother Cathy are receiving condolences around the world from friends following the tragic loss of their son Maximillian. They have kindly requested that no flowers be sent, instead a fund will be set up in memory of Max to provide a valuable water source to disadvantage people in Gambia.

Maximillian spent his Christmas holiday's in Gambia and it was his special place for him and his family. The fund will provide a lasting legacy to Maximillian's memory as well as creating something positive for such a tragic situation.

Frode has been a F2 star for many years as well as having competed on the F1 circuit where he has had eight official starts with three top-10 finishes. His sixth place result in his 2000 season at the Grand Prix in Sharjah being his best result having also taken a seventh at the Grand Prix of Hungary in 1998 and a 10th at the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi in 2000.

Frode has been better known for his off  the water prowess in helping maintain a 'live link” to the world of power boat racing with his successful www.f2boat.com website covering the sport on a global stage.
