DOHA, Qatar – Saturday, November 27, 2010 – Yet again Swedish driver Oskar Samuelsson showed his superiority winning the Formula Four Grand Prix of Qatar today, after qualifying on pole position.
Oskar stayed cool on the start pontoon when all but 4 of the boats jumped the start before the lights changed from red to green.
He powered his way through the field of 10 boats driving for Team Rainbow closely followed by Swedish lady driver Bimba Sjoholm (Team Azerbaijan) who came home in second with David Del Pin (Team 800 Doctor) third.
Both first and second drivers were piloting the dominant Molgaard designed hulls who at this stage appear to have the legs on the opposition.
The midfield battle was intense with some outstanding driving from the likes of Saleh Al Shalan (Team Qatar) Stefan Hagin (Team Atlantic) amongst others.
The new F-4S series is turning out to be a huge success as the breeding ground for Formula One, with many other young drivers across the globe anxious to enter the series.
Next week the battle continues in Abu Dhabi where the likes of Majed Al Mansoori (Team Abu Dhabi) will want to shine on home soil.
