F1H2O

Team Atlantic's Mike Szymura endured a lonely race as he swept to victory in today's second heat of the championship on the River Liu as his rivals were nowhere in sight.

Jan-Andre Landsnes attempted to challenge Szymura in his Singha boat but his enthusiasm proved too much and he performed a spectacular backward flip.

That incident allowed Binchen Wu of Team China to move into 2nd place but it appeared the Chinese driver had a trim problem as he looked on the brink of a blow-over several times.

Yesterday's winner Morgan Jernfast, the Swede driving for the Norwegian Nautica team took advantage of Wu's wayward outfit to move into 2nd place and the top three positions remained unchanged to the finish line.

Qatar's Khalid Al Kuwairi retired early on allowing Team Abu Dhabi and Mad Croc to fight for the minor places but Mohamed Al Mehairibi, the UAE pilot made Mad Croc task easier when he missed a turn buoy and had to re-take it.

Team Sweden's Molgaard was almost unbeatable last year but struggles to keep in touch with the leaders in 2013 as driver Nicklas Friberg is on a learning curve but should be challenging the leaders before the end of the year.
