Tuesday, January 9: The 2024 UIM F1H2O World Championship will be fought out over Grand Prix in Southeast Asia, Europe, China and the Middle East.
The finishing touches are still being put to the thrilling new calendar of events that features new races in Vietnam and Albania and back-to-back Grand Prix in the People’s Republic of China.
What promises to be one of the most action-packed seasons for several years will get underway at the end of February with a return to Sumatra in Indonesia for the first round on the spectacular volcanic Lake Toba that hosted round one so successfully in 2023 and attracted tens of thousands of spectators.
A new race in Vietnam was announced midway through last year and the inaugural Grand Prix of Bình Đinh, Vietnam takes its place in the calendar at the end of March. The race will be based on a challenging course at Qui Nhon in the Bình Đinh Province.
Europe will host round three in mid-June with Italy set to stage another Grand Prix in Olbia, Sardegna
Exact locations for back-to-back races in China are still to be finalised but the vast People’s Republic returned to the F1H2O racing calendar with a Grand Prix in Zhengzhou in 2023 and the two races have been set for the end of September.
There will also take place in Asia in November before the traditional season finale – the Road to Sharjah-Grand Prix of Sharjah – on Khalid Lagoon in the UAE’s third largest emirate in December.
