Thursday, 21 November, DOHA (Qatar): Italy's Alberto Comparato made it look easy winning race 1 of the Trophy on his series debut.

The 16-year old Team Nautica driver led from the flag and was untroubled throughout the 19-lap race building up an unassailable lead to win by over eight seconds completely outclassing two of this season's race winners, Nikita Lijcs and series leader Mike Szymura .

It was Lijcs and Szymura who produced the best duel of the afternoon racing the full distance separated by less than a second, but despite all his efforts and drawing level with Lijcs on more than one occasion and passing him momentarily, Germany's Szymura had to concede to his Latvian rival to finish third, but extends his series lead to 34-points.

Team CTIC China's Bing Chen Wu took fourth place after holding off a persistent challenge from Team Qatar's Khalid Al Kuwari, who earlier in the afternoon pulled off a sensational win in the UIM Nations Cup Match race, with Team Sweden's Nicklas Friberg completing the top six.
