KIEV, Ukraine - July 22nd - Philippe 'Mr Nice Guy' Chiappe secured a well earned victory in the 2012 Kiev President Cup tournament when he beat Abu Dhabi's number one Ahmed Al Hameli.

Jonas Andersson was DSQ'd in the  first heat of the afternoon against Sami Selio when the Swede took the turn buoy on the wrong side. Abu Dhabi's Thani Al Qamzi appeared to have more shoot-out heats than anyone else eventually finishing 3rd in a dramatic semi-final with Youssef Al Rubayan while both Qatar drivers missed out on the silverware, Shaun Torrente with a sick motor and Carella lost out in the best of three shoot-outs.

The Match Race is an exciting climax to a weekend of F1 action in Kiev and it was great to see the large French contingent in Team China's camp, particularly David Moore, the designer-builder of Chiappe's winning boat
