Tuesday, 10 April: After some speculation the line up at F1 Atlantic remains the same for 2018 with Duarte Benavente and Grant Trask lining up for their second successive season together.
Benavente, 47 from Vila Fresca de Azeitao, is one of the more experienced drivers in the UIM F1H2O World Championship, starting his 20th season on the tour and will be looking to kick-start his year with the same strong start he made in 2017, bringing his Moore Formula hull home for a podium finish at his home Grand Prix in Portimao and where he made his championship debut in 1999.
Trask will start his second full term on the UIM F1H2O tour after a promising start, the 29-year-old from Brisbane picking up a best fifth in qualifying and a sixth place race finish from his eight starts, since his debut in Abu Dhabi in 2016. This year Trask will run a GTR hull, designed and built by his father, Bob.
