ANDERSSON LOOKING TO CARRY THE FIGHT TO CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS
F1H2O

Friday, 5 July, EVIAN (France): Jonas Andersson is intent on keeping the pressure on and continuing his  pursuit of Team Abu Dhabi after following Shaun Torrente and Al Thani to the chequered flag in Portugal, the team Amaravati driver also finishing second to them in the final race of the season in Sharjah last year. “We had a good race in Portugal despite breaking my engine in practice and being on the back foot for most of the weekend. But I was happy with qualifying and for sure the race.” he said. “We got the boat back home and have tested a lot, made some modifications to the boat and to the engine and I think the boat will be more stable for this race.

“The conditions could be difficult but that is the same for everyone and what you need is some luck to finish here. You can suddenly hit a wave of a boat from a long way away and your race could be over.  Everything needs to be perfect going into the weekend and more than any other race you need that luck.”
