ALEC WECKSTRÖM made his F1H2O racing debut with Gillman Racing at the Grand Prix of San Nazzaro in Italy in 2021. Despite a non-finish in his opening race, the Finn scored his first point at the first of two races in Figueira da Foz in Portugal and then finished the season with a superb second place at the second Portuguese race to end the year in fifth place in the Drivers’ Championship.
The following year, the Helsinki driver went one better and finished fourth overall, following fourth in Mâcon and third in San Nazzaro, a non-finish and then a superb end to the season with three fourth-place finishes in Sardinia and Sharjah. He did not start the opening race of the 2023 season and was absent from the sport throughout the remainder of 2023 and 2024.
The Finn will return as the reserve driver for the Victory Team in 2025.
