PROFILE

FERDINAND ZANDBERGEN started out in F1H2O in Portugal in 2021 and finished fifth in the Drivers’ Championship in his full debut season in 2022, the highlight being pole position and a race victory at the FIM Grand Prix of Italy in San Nazarro.

Born in Wageningen in the Netherlands, Zandbergen had been introduced to the H2O Racing family through the popular F4-S Trophy that used to run in conjunction with rounds of the F1H2O series. Zandbergen finished as runner-up in 2016.

Away from the on-water action, the Dutchman is a successful businessman and works for the family business, Ferdinand Zandbergen B.V., that is involved in the production of meat and the distribution of poultry for the food industry.
