MARIT STROMOY: I ALWAYS TRY TO PUSH FOR THE BEST
F1H2O

EVIAN (France) - Friday, 26 June - After a solid start to the season with sixth place, a new sponsor and rebranding to EMIC Team and a major overhaul to her boat, Marit Stromoy say's what she now wants and needs is a podium finish. "It has been a hectic few months. We have really been working a lot to completely change the boat, replacing the sponsons and deck. So really almost a new boat." she said.

"We have tested in Norway and I am very happy with the results, especially after all the work everyone has put in, not to mention the lack of sleep, so I hope all the updates and changes pay off as the feeling is good so far."

Without wanting to be too specific or give too much away, Stromoy talked about the benefits from the work that has been carried out. "We should see better acceleration out of the corners which in turn will help our top speed. But for sure the boat will be a handful because it is a little wider and shorter, but so far from testing it is all working out very well."

"In terms of reliability and performance, this does not always go hand in hand, but we are trying to improve [engine] performance but also stay in the safe zone. We have another mechanic, so Fabio and Craig Bailey will work closely together.

I always try to push for the best, but what I want, what I need is a podium and we will do our best to go for that."
