ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates – (December 3, 2008) – Two of the most talented drivers in the paddock know their situation this weekend, win and win again if they have any hope of winning a world title on the U.I.M. F1 World Championship tour for 2008.

For Swedish driver Jonas Andersson he has been great when he's been finishing Grand Prix's having won at the opening round at the Qatar event and again in early June in St. Petersburg, Russia. Now sitting with 49 points on the season and trailing points leader Jay Price of the Qatar Team by 36 points with just 40 more to earn, he has to have a perfect ending to his season and hope only but the worst for his long time American rival from New Orleans, Louisiana at this Friday's 16th Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

“We have done so well when our equipment has got us to the end of events this season only finishing without a win last time out in Shenzhen a month ago”, said Jonas. “Now we need luck as well as a perfect performance twice in the next 10 days to earn our first title. A big wish but one that could happen.”

For defending World Champion Sami Selio, the driver from Helsinki also has hopes since he did the same last year to defeat 9-time World Champion Guido Cappellini of Como, Italy by winning both at Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

“We are going to push and push more to put on a show to win this title for another season,” said Selio. “We have the personnel to get it done and we can do this I know in my heart.”

It is a big chore and a trophy to be lost by Price who has one hand already on the trophy. It all starts in earnest tomorrow in qualifying and the battle for the pole position. Stay Tuned.
