EVIAN, FRANCE - Sunday, 28 June, 2015 - Philippe Chiappe will Start his home Grand Prix in P1 after taking his third and what he called his most important pole-position. "They are all important to me but to do it in France is the best." he said.
The defending World Champion was the second out onto the water in the top-six shoot out delivering an uncharacteristically messy first lap, but then nailed his second flying lap with a time of 47.69s to clinch the pole. "This weekend is very important for me and the team. We have worked very hard for the last two months. Part of the job is done, now we have to complete it. The pressure is on."
"My first lap was not good. I was pushing very hard and make two mistakes, but got it right on my last run. “Now we have practice and will make changes to the boat for the race. For qualifying we set the boat differently now we will adjust but will also keep an eye on the weather, but I think the conditions will be good."
