Weather Forces Cancellation Of F-4S Race

Saturday, 14 March, DOHA (Qatar): Australia's Briney Rigby was unable to take advantage of her pole position in this morning's qualifying, with strong winds and rough sea forcing the cancellation of today's race.

The second cancellation in as many days compounded a frustrating weekend for the eight teams and drivers in Doha for the first round of the F-4S Trophy.

Earlier in the day the 16-year-old from Blacktown, NSW, Australia, produced an impressive drive in tricky conditions to deliver her opening salvo of the season and post the fastest time with a 1:07.03s lap.

Second quickest was Team CTIC China's Wu Bingchen with 1:08.08, with defending Champion Mike Szymura third quickest with 1:08.23.
