STROMOY – EVIAN IS VERY UNPREDICTABLE AND ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN
F1H2O

Saturday, 6 July, EVIAN (France): Marit Stromoy is one of just three drivers to have gone the distance and picked up points in all races in Evian, and the Emirates Racing driver is confident she can improve on her fifth place last time out in Portugal. “We qualified well and had a good race in a close fight between third fourth and fifth and we were all very close. We had the speed and the target is to improve on fifth here in Evian.

“We are confident we can do that. We have made some changes to the boat from the last year we were here to improve the handling in the rough. It looks calm at the moment but it will be a rough race. The Target is to get to Q3 in qualifying and see what happens.

“The circuit in Evian is quite long compared to some other circuits and the run down to and going into turn one is usually rough and quite tricky. We know the conditions can change very very quickly and we also have to deal with the wake of the other boats. Hopefully we will have a good race. But you know that anything can happen here on the lake.”
